Project description: The mixed-use development near the corner of Sunshine Street and Scenic Avenue known as The Crescent is starting to take shape. With nearly 8,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor, plans call for the rest of the 174,000-square-foot structure to contain 145 apartments in studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom layouts, according to project officials at CJD Engineering. Amenities in the works include a rooftop patio and fitness area, as well as a clubhouse with a game room, kitchen and double-sided fireplace. Glass overhead doors in the clubhouse will open to a pool area, and the building will have a gated backside for security.
